A Week in the Life . . .

Today
, the middle-aged white guy is taking it on the chin!  Try as we may, we just can’t seem to gain the attention of younger people.  So today, about 20 young, ethnically diverse citizens are gathering in Southern California to participate in professional media training.  This is the first of several such trainings planned, with the goal to promote pro-family issues on radio, television and online through voices and faces that are attractive to their peers, the so-called “Millennials.”  To financially assist in this endeavor,

Tomorrow, about 100 people will join together in Modesto for another kind of training, to lead small groups through the Truth Project worldview series!  California Family Council continues its commitment to expose this excellent resource to more and more people, who will then be better equipped as “change agents” for God.  For more information on tomorrow’s event and other upcoming Truth Project trainings, click here.

Monday and Tuesday, invitation-only events will be held in two regions of our state, bringing together community leaders and representatives from churches.  The goal of these monthly meetings is to identify strategies for education and impact, and to bring about critically necessary coalition work.  It is our vision to expand the number of these forums to cover every area of California.  For more information, please call our offices at 951.354.8362.

Wednesday, Frank Pastore – KKLA Radio, 99.5 FM – provides me with an opportunity to inform his broadcast listeners about cultural and legislative issues in California.  Frank has done CFC a huge favor through these consistent “appearances” he has made available to us.  For information on the show, click here.

Thursday
, I meet with experts in the fields of communication and marketing to improve our reac
h and effectiveness.  CFC is fortunate to have friends who offer their time, talent, and networks to assist in the creation and implementation of excellent information and resources.

This week, dozens of private foundations will receive proposals from California Family Council.  Please pray that these charities will recognize CFC’s unique role in California, and respond with generous funding.  Our vision and goals are unlike any other group’s, and large enough that we must have God’s favor in order to succeed.  Thank you!

With gratitude,

Ron Prentice
