Help CFC help California – Host sites needed!

Since 2008, California Family Council has had the opportunity to train 5,000 people to lead Truth Project small groups! We consider this accomplishment to be one of CFC’s most important, and with multiple “generations” of growth in small group leaders we believe that more than one million Californians will have “walked through” the Truth Project by next year.

If you’re not familiar with the Truth Project, it is a DVD-based experience designed to help people develop a view of the world through the lens of God’s word.

The most encouraging feedback about the Truth Project (TP) comes from pastors. The TP’s purpose is to come alongside pastors, giving lay people a systematic overview of major themes in scripture such as God’s view of man, of creation, of government and of work, to name a few.

Pastors whose congregations have participated in the TP study consistently report the following impact:

  • Increase in levels of volunteerism
  • Increase in personal Bible study
  • Increase in the church’s centrality to family life

As CFC sets its plans for 2011,we would appreciate your help. We hope to lead between 25-30 Truth Project small group-training seminars, and we need host churches. CFC seeks your help in identifying potential sites throughout California for four-hour seminars on Saturday mornings.

Churches that host TP training seminars receive a $30 materials discount for each of their members (or member couples) who attend. For more information, contact Diana in our Riverside office at 951.354.8362, or DianaM@CaliforniaFamily.org.

If you can help, please act now before you forget! Thanks for whatever assistance you can offer!

Sincerely,
Ron Prentice
