We’ll Need Your Help in 2012

So this is how the Big Lie works.
You begin with a hypothesis that has a certain surface plausibility.
You find an ally whose background suggests that he’s an “expert”;
out of thin air, he devises “data.” You write articles in sympathetic
publications, repeating the data endlessly; in time, some of these
publications make your cause their own. Like-minded congressmen pick up your mantra and invite you to testify at hearings.

You’re chosen for an investigative panel related to your topic. When other panel members, after inspecting your evidence, reject your thesis, you claim that they did so for ideological reasons. This, too, is repeated by your allies. Soon, the echo chamber you created drowns out dissenting views; even presidential candidates begin repeating the Big Lie.

Penned by New York Times columnist Joe Nocera (12.23.11), I couldn’t have said it better. Nocera has described the machine - and industry - of the California Capitol. Truth is an unwelcome guest at legislative hearings, and is quickly silenced should it attempt to speak.

Therefore, truth must find alternative paths, and in early 2012 California Family Council will roll out its use of video and social media to bring real truth to more people across the state. CFC needs your help! We’re often thanked for being a trustworthy source for information, but we’ve been frustrated by the limited reach of our communications.

Now, our ability to expose the inner workings of California’s leadership will be greatly enhanced, pulling off the masks of deception and fabrication. Too much is at stake, and CFC will better counter the “big lies” that now control our state’s decision-making by expanding our breadth of allies - civic and education leaders, grassroots activists, clergy and their congregations.

As 2011 winds down, please make a generous gift to California Family Council and help us start the New Year in financial strength.

Thank you for standing with us! California Family Council is dedicated to providing solutions to real-life issues – biblically based, confirmed by research, and compassionately presented.
