Will the “Silent” Majority ever get mad…enough?

by Ron Prentice,
Chief Executive Officer

California Family Council appreciates your feedback, and we read it. Here is feedback on our most recent legislative update:

What good does it do to contact our representatives when in your letter you state that “regardless of the thousands of calls and letters” they ignored us? We have no representation in this state and I’m tired of continually calling them since I can’t vote them out of office!

This person’s perspective is shared by many of California’s citizens. It is for this very reason that CFC does its homework before asking for your help in contacting representatives. We walk the tightrope of seeking your involvement, while also trying to protect you from fruitless activity that has no chance for successful impact.

Without going into the detailed strategy that led us to seek your help in contacting the offices of the committee members, we believed that three of the seven Democrat members might be swayed to vote against the bill. We were wrong. The committee’s party line, 7-4 vote on the forced inclusion of pro-homosexual, pro-bisexual, and pro-transgender content into California’s social science curricula brought the bill one step closer to law.

We under-estimated the strength of Democrat committee members’ unity on all things pro-homosexual, and we over-estimated the number of people who would be willing to contact members’ offices.

The above quote gives us telling feedback: this person is mad! This state needs millions more people to draw a line in the sand, committing to unite behind the institution of the family and the moral imperatives that favor the common good for all. When the silent majority becomes mad enough to act, we will boot the imposters from office. This won’t fix everything, but it is a good start in the right direction.

As you are able, please make a generous donation in support of CFC’s work. Thank you!
