This Week Inside the Capitol is a weekly e-mail update of bills monitored by California Family Council. This Week is intended as a brief synopsis to alert you about which bills are being heard and when. CFC’s complete legislative analyses about these and other bills can be found at www.californiafamily.org.
Legislators and their staffs return to the capitol today after the observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on Monday. Assembly and Senate budget committees will continue the process of reviewing Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s proposed budget which attempts to address the state’s projected $21 billion deficit, while legislative fiscal committees meet and consider the potential costs of the remaining 2009 bills before the January 31, 2010 deadline.
