This WeekInside the Capitol is a weekly e-mail update of bills monitored by California Family Council. This Week is intended as a brief synopsis to alert you about which bills are being heard and when. CFC’s complete legislative analyses about these and other bills can be found at www.californiafamily.org.
January 31, the “house of origin” deadline, was the last day the legislature could approve bills introduced in 2009. Bills that failed to be approved are no longer eligible for discussion or consideration in 2010. Legislators will now direct their attention to the introduction of new legislation before February 19, the 2010 bill-introduction deadline. Legislators will also continue budget deliberations in hopes of resolving the state’s immediate cash flow problem.
You can stay up to date on the latest Capitol activities by following CFC on Facebook, MySpace and Twitter. All can be found on our CFC Web site
